Thanks for the birthday wishes this weekend, Oppo. So far, 30 is looking pretty good on me, I think. I celebrated with cocktails at the Ritz-Carlton, like a sir.
I received a small haul of cash and gift cards from friends and relatives, all of which will probably be going into my car. And I'm OK with that.

Which car? Don't you have more than just the Peasant Crusher?

I wasn't around on the weekend. Happy birthday. Buy yourself some shoes.

I also have a Mitsubishi Galant that could probably use some work, too. The windshield washer stalk is broken, the dashboard lights don't work, and the rust monster is slowly claiming the roof, bit by bubbly bit. But I don't really want to sink money into my "beater" car.

Yeah, I wouldn't either. The Peasant Crusher deserves all the attention.

These are the only shoes I have any interest in buying.

Ahh your dash lights going out too. I was going to get that fixed on mine before the timing belt went and i said to hell with it.
Also, happy late birthday!

Those aren't shoes...
Let's take the shoe analogy and apply it to cars... I believe technically, wheels would either be socks or feet. And since you can run/walk/live just fine barefoot in the right conditions (as evidenced by you and your shoeless ways), they aren't feet... so wheels must be socks. No one wants to be seen just wearing socks (cue angry mobs with pictures of women wearing knee highs).
Oh, and Happy Birthday!
